UTEP Miners Make AP Top 25 First Time in 18 Years.

UTEP
has earned the respect of the nation's sports writers and coaches and broken into the elite ranks of college basketball teams in the country. The Miners were ranked today by the Coaches/USA Today Poll at # 25. UTEP is ranked # 26 in the AP poll. In that poll Northern Iowa was still ahead of UTEP even though they lost but have a 24-3 record.
UTEP's ten game win streak which culmanated with a huge win at Tulsa has lifted the Miners into the top rankings. UTEP will play at home this Wednesday against Southern Mississippi.
